This is a beautiful, hand-made print by Chicago print-maker and artist, Ben Chlapek, celebrating the record release show of Great Waters' debut record, Little Doors of Paradise.

Another Chicago-based band, The Okay Lakes, also joined the bill to debut their 1st record, Redshift, making this a one-of-a-kind double-debut event.

This lovely print was originally finished in 2022, but the release show was cancelled and rescheduled a few times. The artists painted over the initial date with a few layers of gesso, recreated the type with the new date, and then printed transparent blue labels in the appropriate size. Next, he cut those out (110 - two per poster), peeled off the backs and stuck them in place.

It’s an edition of mixed media prints with the original date showing through a little so the viewer can see the process/history.
